Today a few words about BLACK OAK. This is a very rare material. The oak we have was found locally 7meters under the ground. Its age is estimated between 800 to 4000 years old!
We have been working with this beautiful wood for the past 4 years but 2 years ago we came accross an amazing 24m long piece which has 130cm in diameter.
We are still collecting new pieces of this astonishing material and soon we will be producing one of the kind dumblebells made from it.
Looking closely into the black oak you can notice different shades of black ranging from deep gray to dark blue which is a result of an oak reacting with water in which the oak was subbmerged for hundred of years
